Remy Kurpershoek (‘86) started his career in advertising as an Art Director at JWT Amsterdam. After being named ‘Young Talent of the Year’ by the VEA (Dutch Association of Advertising), he made the bold, but rewarding, move to JWT International. In 2008, Remy began working for BSUR, Amsterdam, rising to the role of Creative Supervisor, with responsibility for the selection, mentorship and supervision of all new creative talents at the agency.
After five years, Remy took up the role of ECD at creative agency XXS Amsterdam, working on high profile, local and international clients ranging from Hema and Decathlon to Orangina Schweppes and HelloFresh.
Throughout his career, Remy has received numerous international accolades, including being chosen as Netherlands representative at the prestigious Cannes Lions Roger Hatchuel Academy for young talent. He has spoken at, and judged, many international awards shows and festivals, including Eurobest and Dubai Lynx. As an ECD, he strives to find new ways to engage and entertain consumers through ‘tradigital’ methods, solving the business challenges of the agency’s most progressive clients.
